Nigel Foster Presentation about Iceland

Hole in the Wall Paddling Club Event. Nigel Foster and Geoff Hunter set off on a shoestring adventure in 1977, to explore a country of just 222,000 people. Hear Nigel tell the story of the First Circumnavigation of Iceland by Kayak, and how such an expedition came about. Rewind to a time before dry suits, cellphones, the home computer, and the World Wide Web, twenty years before Google came onto the scene. With no hand-held waterproof VHF radios, or GPS, with no way to remotely access a weather forecast, is anyone for curried seagull? Nigel’s presentation expands on some of the stories he tells in his newly released, 2023 book, Iceland by Kayak. Contact Hole in the Wall Paddling Club for details
